I'm Getting Married
On Thursday, July 7th, at approx. 10:30pm, on a Jersy Shore Beach, with the ocean waves rolling in, I asked Kim Bale to marry me! Her response was are you kidding me? When she saw, I was serious, with tears in her eyes, she said yes! We are getting married on Jan 6th, 6:00pm, at His Word Ministries, Wanaque, NJ.
Now for the rest of the stroy. Her Pastor's wife had thought for a year that we might make a cute couple. She knew both of our stories. For the past 34 yrs, Kim has been single. For the past 29 1/2 yrs I was married until Melanie passed away. It had been 3 1/2 yrs since her passing, that while on a ministry trip to their church, the pastor's wife asked if I would be interested in having Kim join us for dinner after the Sun pm church service, that I was preaching in. I said if Kim was OK with it, then I was as well. Kim had agreed earlier only as a way of not disappointing the pastor's wife.
We had a great dinner, started talking on the phone every night, and I started flying back to see Kim about every 2-3 weeks. Thank God I had 200,000 miles with American Airlines that I used up in about 3 months. God had spoken to Kim a few yrs earlier that He had someone for her, but that he was not ready yet. He spoke to me at a later date, that He had someone for me and that He would bring her right to my feet. And that is just what He did.
We fell in love and know without any doubt that He has put us together! We are so excited! After the wedding and honeymoon, Kim will join me in Tulsa around the first of Feb, after she packs her house.
This past week she was here as we got alot of wedding stuff done, invitations, etc. She also ministered with me at The Rock Church in Catoosa, OK. This was the first time we had ever ministered together! It was great and very exciting!
We covet your prayers and ask that you stand with us as we honor God in our marraige and ministry in the days ahead! Our story is a great restoration testimony for all who have been through difficult times and wonder if He has someone out there for them! We can say, he does!
Be encouraged, God has great plans for you as well. Kim and I are so blessed and thankful!
